UVA Rush 2019 was held on August 31st, 2019. Roughly about 80 first-year students and transfer students participated in this activity. We intentionally chose 5 special locations on grounds that represent different aspects of UVA, including Rotunda, Language Commons, AFC, MAE Building on Engineers’ Way, and Drama Building. Participants were separated into five teams and raced to these checkpoints to complete UVA-related or Culture-related games. Participants were also tasked to fulfill small missions in the form of scavenger hunt so as to become more familiar with life in UVA. Everyone had fun and found themselves feeling more belongingness in UVA after the event. The catering service was provided by Kungfu Tea.
